Year Up AZ

Year Up Arizona is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Founded in 2015, Year Up Arizona employs 14 individuals. Year Up Arizona provides a one-year intensive professional development program for Opportunity Youth (ages 18-24) aimed at bridging the Opportunity Divide. Their educational tracks encompass Business Operations, Computer Programming, Cyber Security, and IT Help Desk. Participants engage in six months of intensive training, acquiring both technical and soft skills essential for workplace success. Following this initial phase, students spend the remaining six months completing internships with prominent companies in the Phoenix area, including American Express, Bank of America, Arizona Federal Credit Union, and numerous others. Year Up Arizona distinguishes itself through its partnerships with GateWay Community College and leading corporations. Graduates consistently achieve impressive outcomes, earning an average starting salary of $35,000 per year, with 91% securing employment or continuing their education after completing the program.
