Urban Boatbuilders

Urban Boatbuilders is a non-profit organization based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Currently, the organization employs 20 people. Urban Boatbuilders empowers youth through woodworking and experiential learning. They offer a work-training program paired with a research-based curriculum designed to prepare young people for success in life, school, and future employment. Their programs serve teens from various backgrounds including those within the juvenile justice system, charter schools, public schools, and community programs. The organization focuses on providing youth with a hands-on learning environment where they can develop woodworking and boat building skills alongside mentorship and job readiness support. Urban Boatbuilders aims to create a world where all youth have access to education that equips them to be active community members and environmentally conscious citizens.
