The Childrens Bereavement Center of South Texas

The Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas (CBCST) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization located in San Antonio, Texas. Founded in 1997, CBCST provides grief support services to children, teens, young adults, and their families. CBCST offers a comprehensive program of group support, counseling, training, education, and outreach. Their open-ended groups, which meet twice a month, utilize therapeutic activities such as art, writing, music, movement, dance, and dramatic play to help participants process feelings of grief and develop healthy coping skills. All programs are offered free of charge. Recognizing the profound impact of loss on young people, CBCST strives to create a supportive environment where grief can be openly acknowledged and processed.
