Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas

The Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas (SCCenter), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has served the Dallas, Texas community since 1969. The organization is dedicated to providing crisis support and suicide prevention services. With a team of four employees, SCCenter strives to help individuals experiencing suicidal crises find hope for the future. SCCenter offers a range of programs and services to meet the diverse needs of its clientele. Their 24/7 Crisis Line provides immediate support to those in distress. The "Teens Can Survive" program focuses on mental health awareness training and checkups for teenagers. Additionally, SCCenter offers grief support through the Survivors of Suicide program, specifically designed for individuals who have lost loved ones to suicide. SCCenter's commitment to excellence is reflected in its accreditation by the American Association of Suicidology (AAS). This accreditation, renewed in March 2021, signifies the organization's adherence to high standards in suicide prevention and crisis intervention. Since 1996, SCCenter has also been responsible for providing suicide and crisis intervention training to North Texas Police Department and SWAT Teams.
