PRIVATE POLICY is a genderless apparel brand based in New York, New York, operating as a small business with three employees. Founded by Haoran Li and Siying Qu, graduates of Parsons School of Design, the company is known for its unique design process centered around exploring a specific social issue each season. PRIVATE POLICY designs clothing with a focus on bringing New York's rebellious style and free spirit to a global audience. They have collaborated with brands like Coca-Cola, CASETiFY, Harry’s, and White Claw, and have also partnered with numerous nonprofits to raise awareness and take action on the social issues they highlight in their collections. PRIVATE POLICY's founders have received numerous accolades, including nominations as Rising Stars by the Fashion Group International, recognition on Forbes China’s 30 under 30 list, and the GQ China Present Award. They were finalists for the CFDA VOGUE Fashion Fund in 2019, won the Lane Crawford Global Creative Callout in 2020, and most recently received the 2023 CFDA x Genesis AAPI Design + Innovation Grant.
