Who is Native American Advancement Foundation
The Native American Advancement Foundation (NAAF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization headquartered in Tucson, Arizona. Established in 2011 by members of the Tohono O’odham Tribe, NAAF is a small organization with a dedicated team of five employees. NAAF is committed to strengthening Native American communities across multiple areas. The organization focuses on initiatives in education, health and wellness, housing, food sustainability, environmental protection, animal welfare, and economic development on tribal lands. NAAF accomplishes its mission by collaborating with Tribal Members and partnering with outside organizations to address the unique needs of its community. Driven by a deep understanding of the Tohono O’odham Nation's specific challenges and aspirations, NAAF leverages the firsthand experience of its founders. This intimate knowledge allows them to offer tailored solutions and create sustainable programs that effectively benefit the community.
