Who is Jobs For Youth

Jobs For Youth (JFY) is a non-profit organization based in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1980, the organization has grown to employ 41 people. JFY provides pre-employment training, GED preparation, and job placement services specifically for Chicago's low-income youth aged 17-24. Over the past three decades, JFY has successfully placed over 26,000 young people in jobs. JFY has been recognized for its effectiveness, being one of only four organizations nationwide to receive recognition through the National Youth Employment Coalition's Promising & Effective Practices Network. The organization is also a member of America Forward, a national group of 70 organizations dedicated to addressing key domestic challenges.
