Who is Inspiring Minds NYC
Inspiring Minds NYC is a non-profit organization based in New York City, New York, with a staff of four employees. Founded in 2019 by Katrena Perou, Inspiring Minds focuses on building community and providing culturally responsive programs and experiences for Black and Brown youth through a collective impact approach. The organization offers a wide range of services designed to empower young people, including the Sankofa Rites of Passage program for cultural identity development, Life Goal Labs focusing on health and wellness, and CIVICS, an art-integrated approach to civic engagement.
