Erasing the Distance

Erasing the Distance (ETD) is a non-profit organization based in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 2005, the organization is comprised of a team of eight employees. ETD utilizes the power of performance to address mental health issues. The organization offers three main program areas: Public Productions, Custom Programs, and Education/Training. Public Productions consist of original stage shows based on true stories, often world premieres, performed at various venues throughout Chicago. Custom Programs involves bringing tailored performances to diverse audiences across the Chicago area and beyond. Finally, the Education/Training program offers workshops and sessions designed to share ETD's process of gathering and staging true stories related to mental health. ETD's mission is to disarm stigma, spark dialogue, educate, and promote healing surrounding mental health. Their performances and programs are designed to be impactful and thought-provoking, encouraging audience members to engage in conversations about mental health and well-being.
