Connected Chef

Connected Chef is a non-profit organization based in New York City, New York. It is a small company with 3 employees. Connected Chef focuses on building a community-driven food system that provides access to fresh, healthy ingredients, nutritional education, and economic empowerment opportunities. They primarily serve low and moderate income families, as well as underserved communities within New York City. Their mission is to create a borough-wide movement toward food sovereignty within the Latino and Spanish-speaking Queens community. The organization achieves its goals through two key programs: Lifeline grocery delivery and equitable farm stand programming. These initiatives provide fresh, nutrient-dense, and culturally appropriate groceries to those in need, while simultaneously creating job opportunities and fostering community engagement. Connected Chef prioritizes sourcing 80% of their nutrient-dense groceries from local farms and distributors in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
