CHIRP Radio 1071FM Chicago Independent Radio Project

CHIRP Radio 107.1FM Chicago Independent Radio Project is a non-profit organization based in Chicago, Illinois. With 43 employees, the station broadcasts a wide variety of music across genres and eras. CHIRP Radio is a community-driven station that features local, independent, and lesser-heard music. Their DJs are passionate music fans who share their discoveries with listeners, and the station also features conversations with artists, activists, and other interesting individuals. Additionally, CHIRP produces features highlighting the diverse voices and stories of Chicago. The station is dedicated to supporting community radio and helped advocate for the passing of the Local Community Radio Act in 2010, which has led to the launch of numerous new community radio stations across the nation.
