Who is Artist Pension Trust

Artist Pension Trust® (APT) is a trust-based organization headquartered in New York. Founded nearly a decade ago, APT provides financial security and international exposure to select artists worldwide through a unique financial model. Currently, APT employs 35 individuals. APT offers a distinctive program for artists: the gradual sale of artworks deposited by participating artists, generating funds distributed to them over a 20-year period. Artists chosen by APT’s distinguished international Curatorial Team deposit their artwork, contributing to APT’s vast collection. This collection boasts nearly 13,000 artworks from 2,000 artists across 75 countries, with continuous growth as new artists join. A key feature of APT’s model is the allocation of funds generated from artwork sales. 72% of these proceeds are distributed to artists, with 40% going directly to the individual artist and 32% shared among artists within a specific trust based on their contribution. The remaining 28% covers operational costs. APT operates regional and global trusts, with APT Global One, its latest initiative, designed for optimal diversification and serving artists worldwide. Interested parties can find more information on APT's website: www.aptglobal.org.
