Arnold Arboretum

Arnold Arboretum is a public park located in Boston, Massachusetts. It is a 281-acre preserve that serves as a research institution and a public green space. The Arboretum employs 16 people and generates $2.5 million in annual revenue. The Arnold Arboretum is renowned for its extensive collection of temperate woody plants, particularly those native to eastern North America and eastern Asia. This collection includes living specimens, a comprehensive herbarium, and a library and archives. These resources support research conducted both at the Arboretum's Weld Hill laboratories and by researchers worldwide. The Arboretum is dedicated to environmental justice and combating climate change and extinction. Designed by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, the Arboretum is part of Boston's "Emerald Necklace" park system. The Arnold Arboretum is open to the public free of charge every day.
